PHILOSOPHY In the Golden Age of Golf Architecture men created courses to appear as if Nature herself did the job. The original links courses were formed naturally and influenced the philosophies of these 'new' golf architects. So as the modern game remains influenced by its origins and traditions, GGGD takes the principles of the Golden Age and adapts them to today's courses. Safety, Strategy, Drainage, Water Conservation, Economic Maintenance and Environmental Compatibility are all key design guidelines. It is clear the best golf courses do not evolve solely through a set of plans. Our 'Hands-On' approach produces artistically crafted courses, moulded in the field to ensure the best interests of the client are served. The new golf course must be interesting and enjoyable for all who play. |
