PROFILE

A former director of Newton Grant & Spencer P/L, and principal designer, Graeme Grant has been in the business of Golf Architecture for nearly 30 years.

His role as Course Superintendent at Kingston Heath ran parallel with his design work and was the impetus for the development of a wide range of skills.

His golfing background (3 h'cp player) and the realisation that effective and economic course management relies upon quality design and construction led to the beginning of a life long passion.

The practical experience of 'hands-on' design and the sabbatical tours to play and study the renowned British and American courses enables him to create golf holes of a classical nature with all the modern trimmings.

The redesign of many greens at Kingston Heath and the new Links Lady Bay course are testament to his knowledge and ability. He is able to blend his work with the likes of Alister MacKenzie and also create new courses that can be recognised amongst the finest in Australia .
